The author, drawing from personal experience, claims that Bhutan is probably the only country in the world where happiness is valued more than wealth. Code 7 loosely follows the novels Code 1 and Code 9 (both books have also been published in Czech), featuring fictional characters alongside real ones, such as the Dalai Lama and the King of Bhutan. It is a bold fiction in which the reader will find not only tension but also an introduction to the remarkable culture of a distant nation. Jozef Banáš has written a novel that is read not only with the eyes but primarily with the heart.
