The end of the war is inexorably approaching, but the Nazis in Bohemia are still preparing for a last desperate defense. Everyone already feels that along with spring comes the final stage of the war that has impacted their lives. Even the heroes of this novel sense that something is happening around them, but they are still more interested in their own problems and lives. Everything changes with the arrival of the German armored train, which reaches their village with the onset of the May uprising. The main characters, ordinary people, will enter an extraordinary phase of their lives and for the first time stand up to evil in the form of Nazi occupiers. Will they manage to disarm the train's crew? And how many of them will pay with their lives for freedom in the last days of the war?
