If a person is to become a human being, they must be educated. J. A. Comenius. To teach or to educate? What is problematic about the education system in the Czech lands? Is there a solution to this dismal state? The author of the book seeks answers to these questions, drawing on foreign experiences as well as the few existing 'islands of positive deviance.' He presents impulses for solutions to the broad educational community, students, parents, and all those who care about the quality of our education, which will contribute to an education that meets the demands of the times.
