Beschreibung
This Czech-language primer teaches beginning reading to children with hearing impairments in special primary schools, using a method that does not form syllables. It is divided into two parts. Illustrations serve not only as motivation but also explain the meaning of newly introduced words, which are accompanied by both a picture and a sign in Czech Sign Language. Each lesson presents new letters in four forms: lowercase and uppercase print, lowercase and uppercase cursive, as well as in the one-handed and two-handed alphabets. The primer is also intended for pupils with combined hearing and other impairments, including children with mild intellectual disabilities, who may use it over several years.
