The entire zoo is on alert – its gates are closing, and visitors can only curiously stand by the entrance today. Today belongs solely to the animals. The athletic competitions, the biggest event of the year, are reaching their climax. Referee Kuna starts the most popular discipline – the big marathon – with a loud shot. But oh dear, the Hare, the biggest favorite of the race, loses this time. With his last strength, he stumbles across the finish line and falls asleep like a log in front of the surprised spectators.
