The book focuses on interesting individuals and events from our history. It begins with the era of mammoth hunters, through the Celts, the forefather Czech, Great Moravia, and up to the 19th century. It describes the main figures of pivotal periods in our country and their fates. History is a great book of stories lived by real people. Often, these stories are so fascinating that the imagination of a novelist would not suffice to invent them. History is not set in stone. Our perspective on it changes over the years and with new insights; sometimes a different era views history through different eyes, and at other times, events that we have previously overlooked emerge from the shadows of oblivion. Therefore, it makes sense to return to the stories of history, to those well-known - because we can perceive them through different eyes, and to those forgotten - because they can change our view of a certain time and the lives of the people within it. The stories of history remain interesting and exciting.
