Klinická onkologie – group of authors (2023)

Oncology is one of the most dynamic fields of contemporary medicine. Along with the rapid advancement of knowledge at the molecular and cellular levels, the classification of various malignancies is continuously evolving, and especially the treatment options are changing almost before our eyes. Targeted and biological therapies, as well as immunotherapy and other modern treatment modalities, are quickly moving from research laboratories into the everyday arsenal of clinical oncologists. Following the success of the publications Special Oncology (Maxdorf, first edition 2017, second edition 2020) and General Oncology (Maxdorf, 2019), a collective of leading experts from comprehensive oncology centers in the Czech Republic, led by Prof. MUDr. Tomáš Büchler, Ph.D., has now prepared the publication CLINICAL ONCOLOGY. This book is of fundamental importance for Czech oncology and aims to become a new standard for basic education in the field – similar to what was achieved with the two aforementioned books. The publication Clinical Oncology is intended both for exam preparation and for everyday oncological practice.
