Although the occurrence of balance disorders in childhood is fortunately not as common as in the adult population, it is necessary to pay even more attention to them, as dizziness in children can also be a result of serious illness. Currently, there is no field or subfield in the sense of pediatric otoneurology, a specialization dedicated to dizziness in children, that specifically addresses this very specialized issue. Dizziness in children cannot be overlooked, as there are numerous causes that can lead to it. Among the most serious are tumors or epilepsy. Other causes may include migraine, congenital or acquired inner ear diseases, or mental illnesses, among others. The aim of this monograph is to provide a comprehensive overview of the approach, diagnosis, and treatment of balance disorders in children.
