Gastroenterologie a hepatologie v algoritmech – Martínek Jan (2021)

Gastroenterology and hepatology are fields characterized by the dynamic development of diagnostics and an unimaginable spectrum of new drugs and other therapeutic methods. However, the growing complexity of the field demands a clear publication in which doctors can quickly orient themselves. A team of authors led by leading Czech experts Prof. MUDr. Jan Martínkem, Ph.D., AGAF, and MUDr. Pavel Trunečka, CSc., (IKEM) has therefore prepared the book Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Algorithms for publication, which is relatively unique in its structure. It offers a spectrum of more than 90 diagnoses that doctors may commonly encounter in both hospital and outpatient practice. The authors' goal is to present a concise and clear description of the most important diseases from both fields and, above all, to guide doctors through the current therapeutic algorithm based on international recommendations in detail. Each clinical unit thus contains a basic description and the current treatment procedure processed in the form of a clear diagram, which will find its place in everyday practice as well as in preparation for certification exams.
