Oncology is one of the most dynamic fields of modern medicine. In particular, treatment options are changing almost before our eyes; targeted and biological therapies, as well as immunotherapy and other modern treatment modalities, are rapidly moving from laboratories into the everyday arsenal of clinical immunologists. A collective of authors from several comprehensive oncology centers in the Czech Republic, led by Doc. MUDr. Tomáš Büchler, Ph.D., published the book Special Oncology in 2017 through Maxdorf, which quickly became a new standard for basic education in the field with its modern approach. In the same spirit, this author collective is now releasing the book General Oncology – with an emphasis on clarity, comprehensibility, and practical applicability of knowledge to clinical practice. This book is also intended for exam preparation as well as for everyday oncology practice.
