New Surgical Techniques and Medical Treatment in Urogynecology – group of authors (2015)

Urogynecology has become one of the most progressive areas of gynecology in recent years. New surgical procedures utilizing unique hi-tech materials and tools bring patients previously unimaginable improvements in quality of life; however, the long-term effect primarily depends on the precise and flawless execution of the surgical procedure. One of the pioneers of these new methods is Prof. MUDr. Alois Martan, DrSc., a urogynecologist of European significance. The logical continuation of his two successful editions of the book "New Surgical and Treatment Procedures in Urogynecology" is the upcoming English edition. This edition is based on the second Czech edition (including an extensive chapter dedicated to urogynecological pharmacotherapy), but it has been further expanded and updated. The foreword to the book was written by leading Swiss urogynecologist Prof. Dr. med. Annette Kuhn (Bern University Hospital), and several other prominent European urogynecologists, including Prof. Dr. med. Eckhard Petri (Greifswald University Hospital) and Prof. Dr. med. Heinz Kölbl (Vienna University Hospital), have contributed commendatory review comments.
