A modern "pocket guide" describes the most interesting aspects of Třeboň and its surroundings. In the information appendix, readers will find a tip for a Třeboň culinary specialty, an overview of selected restaurants (so-called gastro tips), and a clear map of the city center (on the back inner side of the folding cover). In a light and readable manner, this guide describes the rich history of the "city of ponds, spas, and carp," particularly associated with the Rosenberg family. A large part of the guide is dedicated to Třeboň Castle and the tour of the historic part of the town. An inseparable phenomenon of Třeboň is fish farming – the guide does not forget about this and the personalities of the two most significant and famous South Bohemian fish farmers, Štěpánek Netolický and Jakub Krčín.
