This Czech-language volume is part of a multi-volume project by leading Czech herbalist Josef A. Zentrich, drawing on his 40 years of study and practical experience. Published under the patronage of the Czech-Moravian Association of Healing Arts, it is based on theoretical principles and information from the latest specialist literature, while also taking into account practical experience from folk healing. The work updates the renowned seven-volume Herbarium, created between 1994 and 1999 by Josef A. Zentrich in cooperation with Jiří Janča. Alongside European herbs, it covers many Chinese, Ayurvedic and South American herbs that only began to officially enter the Czech market in recent years. In addition to taxonomic entries for individual herbs, the encyclopedia includes therapeutic terms and common concepts from alternative medicine, including the most important food supplements. It is intended for home use by herbalists and, above all, informed non-specialists.
