Another in a series of textbooks designed not only for self-learners. The author divided the textbook into 30 lessons, each starting with a Hungarian text. In the first half, she compiled them herself, while the second part contains excerpts from Hungarian fiction and journalistic or academic texts. The grammatical section focuses on phenomena that form the core of Hungarian grammar. Due to the different structure of Hungarian, grammar is covered in a different order and scope than is usually the case. The aim of the textbook is to enable interested learners to read common and simpler texts. The vocabulary of the textbook contains about 2,500 words and several hundred phraseological units. At the end, the covered grammatical phenomena are summarized in tables, and there is also a key to the exercises and articles. The textbook includes an mp3 recording offering practice in correct pronunciation, texts, and conversations from all lessons.
