The textbook designed for both self-study and teacher-led instruction consists of 31 lessons plus an introductory lesson on pronunciation principles. It focuses on European Portuguese and only addresses the main differences with Brazilian Portuguese in the last two lessons. Each lesson includes introductory texts, a vocabulary list (basic and supplementary), grammatical explanations, and a series of exercises with keys. The textbook also includes an Anthology of supplementary texts. Students have access to a Portuguese-Czech dictionary containing the basic vocabulary of the textbook (2,500 words), as well as a Czech-Portuguese dictionary (of the same extent). Navigation in the textbook is facilitated by a Grammatical Index, a list of conversation topics, and references to the realities of Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries.
