The first Czech textbook of Croatian offers a complete overview of Croatian grammar, notes on pronunciation, a rich vocabulary (approximately 3000 words), the most common phrases, and conversational expressions. The texts in the textbook are current, covering the main areas of life with a focus on Croatian reality. Emphasis is placed on mastering the basic structure of Croatian, understanding the differences (especially lexical) between Croatian and Czech, acquiring the skill to actively use Croatian in everyday life, and gaining the ability to understand both written and spoken discourse. The textbook is intended for both traditional teacher-led instruction and self-study. The publication includes an Answer Key, which contains not only solutions to the exercises from the textbook but also a grammar overview, notes on pronunciation, and an extensive Croatian-Czech glossary. At the end of the key, there is a list of recordings. The recording is narrated by native speakers and is aimed at actively mastering the language. The recording is available for download.
