Dear little Pinocchio, we read your thrilling story and hold our breath as we watch you navigate the dangerous world. Your father Geppetto carves you from a magical block, and you immediately run away from him, wandering the world without caring that everyone is worried about you. You even deceive your mother, the beautiful Fairy with dark blue hair! They stab you, hang you from a tree, and you almost burn. They tie you to a doghouse like a guard dog, and at other times, they wrap you in flour and nearly fry you like a fish. You must resist the thieving martens that offered you a bribe to let them steal. You turn into a donkey, and an evil man throws you into the sea... You have a good heart, but you cannot be relied upon. You have promised so many times to improve, but you have never succeeded! Does it not bother you what worries you cause us? You are quite a rascal! How is it that we all still love you? As the story nears its end and you are swallowed by a giant shark, you will meet Geppetto in its belly, who the shark devoured before you. And you manage to save your father! Yes: sometimes one must sink to the very bottom to catch their breath and fight for the right to live. Dear little rascal Pinocchio, we really enjoy being friends with you!
