The textbook is intended for everyone who has mastered the basics of French. The introductory lesson reviews the most basic phenomena, while subsequent lessons gradually revisit others. At the same time, it delves deeper into phenomena that the learner knows from any beginner's textbook (studying according to French for self-learners is not a prerequisite). Each lesson of this textbook contains an introductory text, from which exercises on selected difficult aspects of French grammar are derived, aimed at deepening or expanding knowledge about them, various thematic areas are discussed, and attention is also paid to articles from the press. The textbook includes several lines of jokes, cooking recipes, proverbs, sayings, or song lyrics and is complemented by illustrations. The author emphasizes the most authentic spoken French and introduces users to marginal forms of the language, such as verlan. The textbook also includes an answer key to the exercises, a detailed index, and a French-Czech glossary. A CD with MP3 recordings is included, featuring native speakers recording the introductory texts, lesson dialogues, and selected exercises.
