Turecko-český slovník – Laně Tomáš (2008)

The new dictionary contains approximately 13,000 Turkish expressions and about 20,000 Czech equivalents. The dictionary's entry list was compiled with an emphasis on modern, current Turkish vocabulary. The selection considered the frequency of Turkish expressions in both spoken and written language, including colloquial expressions. The entries are equipped with basic phraseology and idiomatic expressions. It also includes common specialized terminology from fields such as natural sciences, mathematics, history, geography, economics, computer science, law, politics, medicine, music, sports, etc. The dictionary includes a brief overview of Turkish grammar and pronunciation, as well as a list of common directional and warning signs, traffic instructions, and the most commonly used Turkish abbreviations. The dictionary is intended not only for students – Turkologists but also for all Czech individuals interested in the Turkish language, including tourists. It is, of course, also suitable for Turkish traders, entrepreneurs, and tourists coming to the Czech Republic.
