This Czech-language textbook helps students and the general public find their way around the basic sources of law. It covers the major legal changes that took effect on 1 January 2014, particularly those introduced by the new Civil Code. Its twelve chapters address constitutional, civil, corporate, trade, labour, criminal, family and administrative law, as well as European Union law. The textbook has official approval from the Czech Ministry of Education and was included in the list of textbooks for secondary schools in several educational fields, with an approval period of six years. It is intended for students at secondary and higher vocational schools and is useful for anyone wishing to become familiar with the foundations of the law of the Czech Republic.
