The textbook forms the basis for the mandatory study of the Latin language in all types of healthcare schools in the first year. The material is organized so that students can master most of the content under the guidance of a teacher in school. Each lesson constitutes an organic whole or part of a whole. The lessons are thematically and lexically interconnected and logically linked by simple methodological principles. The main chapters in the book include: Ancient Medicine and the Beginnings of Professional Terminology, Phonetics, Morphology, Latin Prefixes, Greek Prefixes, Latin and Greek Suffixes, Word Formation, Summary Review, Special Additions, Overview of Declension of Nouns and Adjectives, Memorabilia, and a Czech-Latin-Greek dictionary of the most common medical terms, as well as a bilingual dictionary. The textbook also serves as a workbook.
