A balanced, thoughtfully crafted, and artfully composed retrospective from five poetry books by Zdena Bratršovská, published between 1983 and 1987. The author, associated with the first Czech theatrical alternative, which was the White Theatre from the turn of the 1960s and 1970s, is recently known primarily as a prose writer and journalist, creating books alongside František Hrdlička (e.g., Sebranci, The Wonderful Hotel Rezeda, All Those Little Pitfalls, A Suitcase with Lovers, etc.). The selection from her poetic work is thematically and genre-wise divided into nine sections (e.g., Monologues, Revived Images, Portraits and Episodes, Pastorals, etc.). The anthology is supplemented by a detailed and open authorial commentary. The private vernissage was artistically accompanied by Pavel Novák.
