Terezie Martinová lived in France in the second half of the 19th century (1873–1897). At just fifteen years old, she entered the Carmelite convent in Lisieux, where she took the religious name "Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face." Gradually, she discovered that God is merciful and full of love, which she longed to pour into the hearts of all people. When she fell seriously ill at a very young age, the superior of the convent encouraged her to write down her memories from her family and spiritual life. Thus, the famous book "Story of a Soul" was created, which still resonates with people around the world today. It would seem that the young Carmelite would soon be forgotten, but God had other plans. She was soon canonized and declared the patroness of missions.
