Doc. Ing. Aleš Opatrný, Th.D. is a priest of the Prague Archdiocese. He is known in the Czech Republic and Slovakia as a sought-after spiritual companion, lecturer, and retreat leader. He is the author of several books, some of which he has intentionally written in a popularizing style, such as the newly published Challenges of Aging. From the author's introduction: 'We were young, and we are no longer. Many things hurt us, and if not ourselves, we see in our peers that aging is a process that cannot be stopped. This slim book aims to help us take on the task of aging in a timely manner and handle it well.'
