Teaching materials designed for teaching English for grades 1-5 of primary schools (LISTEN AND PLAY for the 1st period of RVP ZV, LISTEN AND SPEAK for the 2nd period of RVP ZV) meet the expected outcomes of RVP ZV 2016. For the 5th grade, there is a series called LISTEN AND SPEAK With friends!, which consists of two textbooks, two workbooks, a vocabulary book, and three CDs. The curriculum for the 5th grade is divided into 10 lessons (each textbook part contains 5 lessons). The lessons are systematically designed over 8 pages. • The first page always focuses on reading comprehension, where students also get acquainted with new vocabulary. In the 1st part, the topics are: In Space, Family, Europe, Christmas, Travelling. • The second and third pages of the lesson are used to derive grammar and practice it in real situations. • The fourth page offers students a story written in a fun comic format. Within the discussed topic, students will expand their conversational skills with phrases that they will use in real situational conversations. • At the beginning of the next page, students still work with the comic, but for the most part, the fifth page is dedicated to creative project work (e.g., My Family Tree). • On the sixth page, the lesson content is clearly summarized in tables, and on the seventh page, students...
