This Czech-language guide is not a herbarium but a practical handbook for users of medicinal herbs. It explains what a herbal drug and its tea look and taste like, how it may be confused with another plant, how it should be stored, its main areas of use, the classification of herbal drugs by properties, the preparation of herbal remedies, possible risks, active constituents and the solubility of those substances in water. Photographs show both fresh and dried plants. For this second of three planned volumes, Valdemar Grešík has selected medicinal herbs with a long tradition in Europe that are still actively used today.
