Beschreibung
The fifth volume of this unique series of guides maps the region located northwest of Prague, including Velvarsko, Slánsko, Kralupsko, and the southern part of the confluence of the Vltava and Elbe rivers. Alongside well-known places - such as the mysterious Budeč, Levý Hradec, or Velvary - this book brings several new discoveries. Among them are a unique series of menhirs near Ledce and a newly uncovered menhir in the Budeč area. This volume also features an explanation of the connections of the legendary Kounov Rows (see volume 4) and the menhirs of the Petrified Shepherd near Klobuky and the Cursed Monk near Drahomyšl. The chapters dedicated to the royal town of Slaný with its troubled chiliastic history and Zlonice with its amazing baroque past are also exceptionally interesting.
