The science fiction book "Madmen from Hepterida," written by Ludvík Souček, was first published in 1974 in installments in the magazine "Aviation and Astronautics." Sci-fi literature expert Ondřej Neff describes it as a "space opera," as it is, according to him, "equipped with the necessary props, such as intergalactic journeys through hyperspace..." As the first deliberately focused literary collection of Czech sci-fi, Souček's "Interest of the Galaxy" saw the light of day in 1973.
