Is the author of 'The Da Vinci Code' lying? To everyone who has read 'The Da Vinci Code' carefully, it is clear that it was written not by a cynical unbeliever but by a deeply believing person. 'The Da Vinci Code' indeed evokes a somewhat different image of Jesus Christ as the founder of Christianity than the one we encounter in the New Testament and other well-known religious texts. However, as the book you are currently holding confirms, Jesus himself is a historically very unclear figure, so literary fantasies speculating about him are entirely legitimate. And if they spark readers' interest, it only shows that Jesus continues to excite and interest us even after two millennia. From this perspective, we should actually thank Dan Brown and other authors writing on the theme of the Jesus mystery.
