The publication provides a clearly organized collection of all significant and current diagnostic and therapeutic trends currently applied in proctology. The authors conceived it with outpatient surgeons and gastroenterologists in mind, and thus deliberately chose the format of a manual with rich visual documentation, including more than 470 photographs. The book summarizes basic field knowledge in an understandable manner, and the authors hope it will also serve as inspiration and a starting point for discussions about the future practical direction of proctology.
