The book Fundamentals of Internal Medicine is the fourth textbook on internal medicine published by Galén. It is primarily intended for undergraduate education, especially for dental students. The authorial team chose a concise writing style, yet maintains a large volume of information characteristic of larger publications. The book has three main sections: its completely original general part summarizes basic information about the causes of diseases, their anatomical and functional changes, and the possibilities for their diagnosis and treatment; the professional part discusses diseases from various internal fields, concluding with information about their significance for dental patients; special chapters are dedicated to certain interdisciplinary topics.
