Rapidly increasing knowledge in all areas of medical science, the development of technologies, and the availability of new methods deeply impact the understanding of genetic foundations and the essence of physiological and pathological phenomena from the prenatal period through infancy to adulthood. This particularly concerns pediatrics, which has become a broad field encompassing an increasing amount of interdisciplinary collaboration. Decisions regarding the most appropriate procedures, the application of optimal algorithms within diagnostics and differential diagnostics, as well as the choice of a rational, modern approach to treatment require continuous deepening of knowledge in the field.
