A novel about the power of scents and friendship, but also about endometriosis and the search for the true path in life, takes us to the Italian island of Elba. Here, Beáta, the main character of the book, on the brink of her fortieth birthday, tries to confront a chronic painful illness with the help of aromatherapy and unexpected encounters that offer hope for healing from past traumas and a lonely life without love. While her peers have built successful careers and are starting families, Beáta is stuck in place. However, one day, a whiff of a mysterious perfume leads her to Elba, where she gradually begins to realize that merely surviving is not enough. Burdened by painful memories she must confront, she also awaits captivating scents, plenty of ice cream, and new people who will inspire her to rediscover her lost trust not only in others but primarily in herself. She will also try to uncover the essence of that Elban 'grace' that has so endeared itself to her.
