Berlin, 1952. In divided Germany, post-war reconstruction is still underway and people are returning to a relatively normal life. The differences between the two parts of the city are deepening, but the Thalheim fashion house is thriving. Thanks to the oldest sister Rike, the clothing creations it offers are in high demand, and through a family friend Markus, the Thalheims have also penetrated the world of theater and film.

Silvie, who is the only one to choose a career outside the fashion house, wants to enjoy life to the fullest.
