This first title from a new series of textbooks for beginning readers also utilizes cursive handwriting, developing the skill of reading alongside writing, speaking, and the student's thinking. It is a workbook in which students write, and there is no need to supplement it with additional notebooks. It focuses on the correct reading and writing of syllables, simple words, and short sentences. It includes all vowels, and from the consonants, M, L, S, P, T, J. The beginning reading textbooks are supplemented with workbooks for practicing cursive handwriting, but they can also be used independently of these workbooks. The textbook includes an appendix with 30 pictures for syllable derivation.
