Beschreibung
Is the new book of poems by the great poet an event? Yes. For the author and for the readers. Jiří Žáček wrote an explanatory note about the state of our world and poetry: Computers save people a lot of time and work, but they are just highly efficient idiots. And why should someone or something simplify our work and save time? Why should life be simple? What will we do with that saved time? Do computers, computer games, and the internet teach us to be better? The most genius computers that can come up with the Theory of Relativity, The Divine Comedy, or Don Giovanni are in people's heads. No one will convince me that computers help create better literature than typewriters did; and who knows if the best books weren't written with a quill.
