A person will do anything to maintain their happiness, even creating a defensive wall against the loss of illusions and unfortunate events around them, through which happiness cannot return. A novel about happiness that maliciously turns into losses and disappointments. Ninel has had such an experience since childhood when she began to imagine what would make her happy, but whenever she tried to help it along, her efforts always backfired and ended badly. She even had to leave home to live with her aunt in Prague because of this, but this life change at the age of fifteen finally brought her closer to happiness. Her aunt was half English, taught Ninel perfect English, and when she graduated, she passed her students on to her. Teaching English is accompanied by a number of humorous stories, and Ninel personally gets involved in some of her students' adventurous plots, but none of them know about her life marked by deep disillusionment in romantic relationships. Ninel always remains silent about it, as if hidden within it is not only her unhappiness but also her desire for happiness, both of which she prefers to keep locked away.
