Beschreibung
A historical chronicle about the fates of the young Luxembourg kings Václav and Zikmund and their brother Jan. The third generation of Luxembourgers in Bohemia had a bright future ahead of them after the death of Emperor Charles, even though their Christian empire was increasingly facing internal and external threats. Each of the royal brothers had a significant task: Václav was expected to stabilize the empire and support the Roman Pope with his imperial coronation, Zikmund was to hold back the Ottoman Turks in the Balkans, threatening his Kingdom of Hungary, and Jan of Zhořelec was trying to mend the enmity between the Czech lords and the king. Achieving their goals was fraught with danger to their own lives, and only subsequent events would test who among them was more worthy of being the imperial father and who was truly his heir.
