German for Language Schools New 2 is the second part of a three-part series of textbooks intended not only for students of language and secondary schools. The well-known original four-part edition now consists of only three parts with sixteen lessons each, with the grammatical content significantly reduced. Students no longer have to wade through a large pile of exercises in each lesson, as these are now divided into smaller sections according to individual texts and the progressing explanation of grammar, and then connected in the Summary Exercises section. In the second part of the textbook, students will enrich their vocabulary with new thematic areas that mostly reflect contemporary German reality, while also gaining interesting information about cultural specifics. All the introductory texts of the lessons have been newly created, using current vocabulary that is carefully calibrated to approximately 750 active words in each part of the textbook. Each lesson also includes a listening text with tasks, just like in the first part. The modern graphic design and a large number of photographs and illustrations will certainly make the journey of overcoming the challenges of the German language more enjoyable for students. Their knowledge should reach approximately level B1 according to the CEFR for languages after completing the second part.
