Beschreibung
The texts in the textbook are divided into ten thematic areas, usually defined by genre as well. In addition to the texts, the reader offers supplementary questions, tasks for reflection, and interesting information of both literary and non-literary character. The main goal of the reader is to awaken students' interest in texts, especially in beautiful but also factual literature appropriate to their age. The texts and accompanying exercises develop students' techniques for both loud and silent reading and the skill to read with understanding. A significant portion of the follow-up tasks focuses on understanding, interpretation, and evaluation. Secondarily, the readers contribute to comprehensive education, specifically to the development of competencies beyond communication skills. They significantly contribute especially to environmental, civic, informational, and media education.
