This Czech-language textbook for the second year of primary school is part of a set consisting of a textbook and workbook, prepared in accordance with the current Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. Both publications include exercises developing digital competence and basic financial literacy, along with other knowledge-based and practical activities. The textbook expands on topics from the first year and introduces living and non-living nature, natural ecosystems as a whole, and their mutual influence during the seasons. Each chapter ends with an Activity section offering ideas for working with natural materials in the classroom or outdoors, discovering new knowledge through experiments or original methods, and using drama to aid understanding. The accompanying workbook reinforces and deepens the newly acquired knowledge through fine-motor exercises, three year-long projects, an experiment with snow, a detective story, a board game and a memory game. The set is completed by a teacher’s guide.
