Prvouka pro 3. ročník ZŠ - učebnice – Čechurová Milana (2018)

This Czech-language textbook, accompanied by a workbook, is the third part of a series for teaching elementary knowledge in grades 1–3, structured according to the Czech educational framework. It builds on the material from the first and second grades by deepening pupils’ knowledge and expanding familiar subjects, while also introducing age-appropriate new topics, including plans and maps, identifying the cardinal directions, finding one’s way in the landscape and on a map, basic facts about Earth as a planet and its position in the Solar System, and identifying, measuring and weighing different substances. The textbook is divided into five sections covering the place where we live, people around us, people and time, the diversity of nature, and people and their health. Explanations of the essential material are supplemented by questions and tasks that draw on pupils’ own experience and offer ideas for practical activities. Learning is supported by extensive visual material, including illustrations by the same artist as in the first- and second-grade textbooks, as well as numerous photographs.
