Beschreibung
The phenomenon known as XML is influencing the current world of computing in a similar way to how the Java language did not long ago. This book should help you understand this phenomenon and start actively using its undeniable advantages. If you have not encountered XML at all, or only very little, you can use the first part of the book as a brief introduction to the topic of XML and some related technologies. However, the main contribution of the book is that it describes in an understandable way the four basic ways of working with XML documents in the Java programming language. These are SAX, DOM, StAX, and JAXB, whose usage is explained through numerous examples. As a bonus, two areas related not only to XML are described, which every Java programmer will encounter sooner or later. The first is the widely used utility Ant, which can save an incredible amount of time in routine tasks. The second is the issue of character encoding, which one must at least minimally understand, as we encounter problems of this type very often.
