In accordance with the RVP, we have published within the Blue Series Mathematics and its Applications 1-5 the publication Mathematics and its Applications 4, which retains everything original from the original Prodos textbooks. The entire Blue Series Mathematics and its Applications for the first stage of primary school meets the requirements of the RVP, leads to expected outcomes, and develops key competencies. Interdisciplinary connections are emphasized, particularly with the Czech language and literature and the thematic areas of the complete package 'Man and His World.' The three-part title Mathematics and its Applications 4 will not be unfamiliar to you in many respects, but its individual parts are practically focused on fulfilling expected outcomes to help you best develop key competencies in children according to the RVP requirements. The material is not an abstract model for children but allows for direct practical application. Only this will enable children to understand basic mathematical relationships in the world around us and to develop and meaningfully and purposefully use them in everyday life.
