The Czech Republic is presented to students in the fourth volume of the thematic geography series through vivid insights into the economic, social, natural, and cultural spheres of individual regions. Our homeland is shown in geographical coordinates as a collection of self-governing units, each exhibiting specific cultural and natural characteristics. The relationship to the homeland is enhanced by references to its exceptional natural wealth and the results of human activity, which have predominantly had a positive impact on the landscape. Students will also gain many useful insights from colorful images, photographs, maps, sketches, and accompanying texts. The textbook has even been selected as an ideal resource for teaching in Polish minority schools and translated into Polish.
