The publication "From the Very Bottom: Half a Century in Paradise" is a unique and entirely true account of alcoholism and how to escape from this cursed state. Typically, for a budding alcoholic, everything starts innocently, normally, as if it were part of a social bon mot. They seek some excuse for themselves and believe they are in a pleasant euphoria, feeling satisfied, as they usually resolve some life situation this way. The frequency of alcohol gradually increases without them being too aware of it. They always have an excuse that alcohol in small doses is harmless and that they can handle it. Only when they have problems at work, with their spouse, with their children, and even with friends do they begin to admit that something is wrong. But it is already too late for a quick remedy. The pleasant feelings are gone, and a long, unpleasant treatment begins, lasting two to three years. The book was essentially written by alcoholics or recovered alcoholics. This is also the strength of this publication.
