Everyone wishes for happiness and to be happy in their life. And that is exactly what twenty-seven-year-old Alexandra, the main character of Monika Knápková's new novel "Happiness is Not for Everyone," desires. Alexandra glides through her life without a care and essentially lacks nothing. A fateful encounter with her former classmate Táňa will change her life forever. At a party, which Táňa takes her to, she meets the handsome Dominik. They hit it off at first sight, and Alexandra finds it hard to resist him. However, nothing lasts forever, and even though Dominik seems to be the right one, everything takes a different turn. After a tragic event that unexpectedly befalls Alexandra, her life begins to collapse like a house of cards. Dominik's brother Filip enters her life, providing her with great support. Although she loves Dominik, she starts to realize that Filip also matters to her, and she is faced with a decision that is more than fateful.
