A comprehensive series of textbooks and workbooks for the educational area of Man and His World has been developed according to the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education and is intended for students with specific educational needs, specifically students with mild intellectual disabilities. The series consists of the following materials: First Grade 1 to 3, The Place Where We Live (textbook and workbook), People Around Us (textbook and workbook), and People and Time (textbook and workbook). First Grade 1 is designed as a workbook. The content includes the following thematic areas: The Place Where We Live, People Around Us, Diversity of Nature, Man and His Health. The publication is richly illustrated with black-and-white drawings by Danuše Plajnerová, which students work with according to the teacher's instructions. The methodological guide provides prompts for the teacher's work in individual lessons. The workbook has been revised for the fifth edition, with enlarged images and an increased number of pages.
