Koktavost: metodika reedukace – Kutálková Dana (2001)

The set of manuals, labeled as methodologies for re-education, is intended for beginner professionals in the field, who are expected to have certain theoretical knowledge. It includes the following titles: Dyslalia, Delayed Speech Development and Dysphasia, Stuttering, Mutism, Palatolalia, and Aphasia. The methodology for re-educating stuttering builds upon and develops the proven principles of the Czech speech therapy school; it does not view the re-education of stutterers merely as a formal adjustment of impaired speech, but seeks to influence speech in its broad context with an emphasis on its social function. Therefore, it includes exercises focused not only on the typical characteristics and difficulties of stutterers but also on the development of the communicative purpose of speech: enriching vocabulary and the ability to express thoughts verbally, fostering internal motivation and conscious activity, as well as understanding and adjusting interpersonal relationships. Approved by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports: Approved by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic on November 1, 2000, ref. no. 28 565/2000-24, for inclusion in the list of methodological manuals.
