Four short stories by the significant contemporary Hungarian playwright, director, and writer Katalina Thurózcyová: Death of V.I. could best be described as a bizarre parody of conditions (both recent and somewhat older) in Russia. The story The Old-Scented Lady is not just a sketch from old Prague, but also a thank you to B. Hrabal for everything his work brings to readers. The author's deep knowledge of this Czech writer's work allowed her to admirably approach the almost inimitable style of Hrabal. The collection is supplemented by the texts Come, Horatio! and Will It Hurt?, from which the attentive reader can easily sense the author's close relationship with the dramatic arts.
